Russia to ‘Explode’ in New Ukraine War Offensive, Starts With ‘Rain of Terror’

Russia’s bloodthirsty dictator, Vladimir Putin, carried out a new massive missile strike against Ukrainian civilians and civilian infrastructure.

It seems to be a preparation for a huge, but desperate, onslaught of Russians on the first anniversary since the start of their failed invasion.

Russians Gearing Up for Renewed Giant Attack

According to some estimates, Russia’s losses in almost a year of war may be nearing half a million men.

The latest Ukrainian Ministry of Defense release, as of Saturday morning, showed a record number of Russian invaders – 1,140 – were killed in combat in a single day, on Friday, February 10.

As per the Ukrainian government data, 136,880 Russian soldiers have been killed in battle, not counting the casualties of the Russian National Guard or the ethnic Russian militias recruited from Ukrainian regions occupied in 2014.

Different estimates indicate that Russia’s losses outnumber Ukraine’s losses in ratios ranging from 3 to 1 to 8 to 1, or even 10 to 1.

According to Ukrainian figures, Russians also lost 20,652 units of military equipment, including more than 3,100 main battle tanks, more than 6,600 armored personnel carriers, and close to 300 warplanes and helicopters each.

The same release also showed that Ukrainians shot down 61 Russian cruise missiles, out of a total of 70 launched against the victim nation’s civilians on Friday. This brought the number of downed Russian cruise missiles since the start of the war to 857.

Russian Attack Near US Ally, NATO Member

The attempted massive Russian missile strike on Ukraine’s cities and civilian infrastructure was an obvious attempt to sound out the Ukrainian air defenses, as well as scare off the country’s allies, according to a report by The Guardian.

That is happening amid reports that Russians are amassing some 300,000 – 500,000 fresh troops to overpower Ukrainians right ahead of the first anniversary of the hellish invasion.

Even with most Russian missiles shot down, the massive strike still managed to hit the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, and several other major cities.

Earlier, on Thursday night, Putin’s brutes fired 35 rockets of the S-300 type. They are technically Soviet-era anti-aircraft missiles, but have been used extensively by the Russians to strike ground civilian targets.

The S-300 missile wave mainly targeted cities close to the Russian-controlled areas, such as Kharkiv in the east and Zaporizhzhia in the south.

According to Ukrainian military spokesman, Yuri Ihnat, the Russians carried out a “reconnaissance attack” right ahead of their expected major offensive.

He pointed out that while Russians typically fire rockets and Iranian killer drones from Eastern Russia and the Azov Sea, on Friday, they fired Kalibr cruise missiles out of vessels in the Black Sea.

According to the Ukrainian commander in chief, Valerii Zaluhnyi, two of those rockets flew over the air space of Moldova and Romania, a NATO member and US ally, before hitting targets in Western Ukraine.

Romania’s authorities have denied it, saying the Russian missile was within 22 miles of its border. Because of the incident, however, Moldova, a small nation of 2.6 million people, summoned the Russian ambassador for an explanation.
